Hypnosis?
Sometimes, the word “hypnosis” makes people think of stage shows where people are seemingly controlled by the hypnotist.

There are many misconceptions about hypnosis, but in reality it is a natural state  of focused concentration where the body and conscious mind relax together, leaving the subconscious mind highly aware and focused, ready for suggestions.

It is becoming more and more common for hypnosis to be used for personal therapy sessions and in medicine, for dental and surgical anaesthesia, but we are also in states of hypnosis many times a day automatically, for instance when we are watching TV or movies, or daydreaming.

Hypnosis is a very normal state of being.
Some Facts:
  • All hypnosis is self-hypnosis; the hypnotist is only a guide. A person chooses to enter into a hypnotic state, remain in hypnosis and come out of hypnosis at will.

  • You cannot be made to divulge information or do anything against your will while in hypnosis.

  • Approximately 90-95% of the population can be hypnotized. It comes down to willingness, belief and motivation.

  • During hypnosis you are neither asleep nor unconscious, and will always “come out” whenever you wish. You are always in complete control to accept or reject any suggestions you hear.
